ASSALAM-U-ALAIKUM I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ASK ABOUT HAZRAT MAIHDI KHALIFATE ULLHA THAT IN ONE HADITH IT IS WRITTEN THAT HE WILL COME FROM MAKKA AND IN OTHER THERE IS WRITTEN HE WILL COME FROM KHURASAN AND THERE WILL BE A GHAZWA WHICH IS CALLED GHAZWA-E-HIND SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT IS THE TRUE STORY I\'LL BE VERY THANKFUL TO YOU.
What is explained in this context is that Imam Mahdi will be born and brought up in Madina and people would pledge allegiance on his hand in Makkah in a place between Hajr e Aswad and Maqam e Ibraheem and then he will immigrate towards Baith al Muqaddas. This is established in most of the Ahadees like in a Narration mentioned in Abu Dawood Shareef whereas there are other Narrations in which some differences and clearances there of, are explained in detail. Refer Abu Dawood vol2 p233)………
Hadhrat Umm Salma (Radhiallaahu Anha) reports that the blessed Rasul (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'There will be differences at the time of the death of a Khalifah. Then a man of the inhabitants of Madinah will flee to Makkah Mukarramah. Some people will come to him and take him out though he will be unwilling. Then, they will pledge allegiance to him between the corners of Ka'bah (Hajar-e-Aswad) and Maqaame-e-Ebraahim. An Army from Syria will be sent to fight him (Mahdi). They will sink to the ground in an open plain ground between Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah. When this will happen, the eminent saints of Syria and Iraq will come and take allegiance to him........................" (Abu Dawood pg.233, vol2)
……….whereas Imam Mahdi is mentioned in a Narration relating to Khurasan in Mishkath, (p 471) Hadhrath Sowbaan Radhiyallahu Anhu narrates that Rasoolullahi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam said If you see the army of black flag emerging from the direction of Khurasaan, join them. For, verily, in them will be the (Nusrath and Ijabath of) Khaleefa of Allah, Mahdi. Commenting under this Hadees Hadhrath Mulla Ali Qari Rahimahullah writes in Mirqat that there is a possibility that the word ‘BLACK’ could be an allusion to the huge army of Muslims which would emerge from the direction of Khurasaan and it is obvious that it would be the army of Haris and Mansoor, i.e., come towards the people of Flag, welcome them and accept the order that their Ameer imposes ( for, the Khaleefa of Allah, Mahdi will be among them), it means that they would be helped and accepted. It doesn’t contradict to say that the initial emergence of Hadhrath Imam Mahdi would be only from Haramain Shareefain.
Summary of the statement of Mulla Ali Qari Rahimahullah is that Hadhrath Imam Mahdi himself will not be present within the army of Khurasaan but the army would be proceeding to Haramain Shareefain to help him. Therefore this narration doesn’t make a negation to those narrations mentioning that the emergence of Hadhrath Imam Mahdi would be in Haramain Shareefain. Also refer a Narration of Abu Dawood Shareef (vol 2, p 233) aiding the statement of Mulla Ali Qari Rahimahulla.
It is narrated by Hilal bin Umar who says that “I heard Hadhrath Ali Karramallahu Wajhahu saying that Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam said ‘ a person named Haris Haras, ahead of whose army will be a person named Mansoor , would come forward from beyond the river to help the Ahl e Baith of Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam (i.e. Imam Mahdi), just as the Qureish helped Rasoolullahi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam. It is compulsory upon each Muslim to help him.’
Therefore it is understood that there is no contradiction in both of these Ahadees. Meaning of those Ahadees which mention about Makka is that the emergence of Hadhrath Mahdi would be from Makka and the meaning of the Ahadees which mention about Khurasaan is that the arrival of the Army from Khurasaan to help Hazrat Imam Mahdi. As for the Battle of Hind, reference are available in Ahadees e Mubaraka about the occurrence of it.
Allah knows best.
