Asking Dua through the sake of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

Respected Mufthi Sahib,
Please inform about the Aqeeda of Ahl e Sunnath wal Jama'ath with regard to asking Dua through the sake of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam i.e., to ask Dua from Allah through the means of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Please answer quoting proofs. Jazakallahu Khaira

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

It is permissible and correct among the Ahl e Sunnath wal Jama’ath to ask Dua through one’s good A’amals and also through the intercession of Anbiya Alihimus Salam and pious saints of Allah.
