Giving Talaq via WhatsApp voice message

My husband divorced me through a WhatsApp voice message. I have proof of this. Now, he does not want to accept that he has divorced me. He claims that he was intoxicated at that time. I sought verdicts from two other Muftis regarding my issue and they all said that divorce has occurred. I want a written verdict. Please assist me in this regard.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

If the detains in the aforementioned account are true, then the divorce sent by voice message has occurred even though the questioner’s husband was allegedly in a state of intoxication. Furthermore, if the questioner’s husband had given three divorces on the voice message, then three divorces have occurred, otherwise, only the amount given has occurred.

کمافی الفتاوى الهندية: وطلاق السكران واقع إذا سكر من الخمر أو النبيذ. وهو مذهب أصحابنا رحمهم الله تعالى كذا في المحيط(1/ 353)
وفی بدائع الصنائع: وأما السکران إذا طلق امرأتہ فإن کان سکرہ بسبب محظور بأن شرب الخمر أو النبیذ طوعا حتی سکر وزال عقلہ فطلاقہ واقع عند عامۃ العلماء وعامۃ الصحابۃ – رضی اللہ عنہم – (۳/۹۹)
