When is the time for Tahajjud?

When is the time for Tahajjud?

When is the beginning and the ending of the time of Tahajjud? Please tell me their exact time?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

The time of Tahajjud is after Isha Namaz until the time of true dawn. However the time of true dawn may differ between locations and may change depending on the condition of the whether, hence, one should look at the Salah chart for his current location.

مأخَذُ الفَتوی

ففی الدر المختار وحاشية ابن عابدين: تحت (قوله وصلاة الليل) قال في البحر: فمنها ما في صحيح مسلم مرفوعا «أفضل الصلاة بعد الفريضة صلاة الليل» وروى الطبراني مرفوعا «لا بد من صلاة الليل ولو حلب شاة، وما كان بعد صلاة العشاء فهو من الليل» وهذا يفيد أن هذه السنة تحصل بالتنفل بعد صلاة العشاء قبل النوم. اهـ.
