What was the need for the Miraj if Allah is everywhere?

What was the need for the Miraj if Allah is everywhere?

We believe that Allah is everywhere, so why did the messenger of Allah (S.A) have to travel to the heavens during the Miraj? If Allah is closer to us that out jugular veins, then this meeting could have taken place in this world. Why did the messenger of Allah have to travel to the heavens?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

Allah is free from restriction or confinement to any time or place. The messenger of Allah being called to the heavens was merely to honor him, and a miracle.
And Allah knows best.

مأخَذُ الفَتوی

قال اللہ تعالی: {لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ (11)} [الشورى: 11]
و فی عمدة القاري شرح صحيح البخاري : يدْخلهُ كل يَوْم سَبْعُونَ ألف ملك لَا يعودون فِيهِ، وَلَا تنَافِي فِي هَذِه الْأَقْوَال لِأَنَّهُ يحْتَمل أَن الله تَعَالَى رَفعه لَيْلَة الْمِعْرَاج إِلَى السَّمَاء السَّادِسَة ثمَّ إِلَى السَّابِعَة تَعْظِيمًا للنَّبِي، صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم، حَتَّى يرَاهُ فِي أَمَاكِن، ثمَّ أَعَادَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا.
