Direction of the Qibla in Masjid is not proper will the Namaz be valid?

Sir if the direction of the Qibla in Masjid is not proper will the Namaz be valid?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

After approaching an expert on the direction of Qibla, if it is found, on the basis of his research that there is a variation in the direction of Qibla, first of all it becomes necessary to change the Qibla to the correct direction. However as regards the Salat performed prior to this, the ruling of them could be obtained after submitting the degree of variation from the correct direction.
