i want to know the sharee status of aitikaaf by women..where they should sit for the aitikaaf according to authentic references

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It is Sunnath and an act of great Sawab to remain in I’thikaf for a woman with the permission of her husbasnd. For this purpose she may sit in the place specified in the house for Prayers. If there is no such place she may specify a particular place and remain in I’thikaf and not go out of it unnecessarily.
