What is the ruling about Kangaroo whether it is Haram or Halal?

Assalamu Alaikum What is the ruling about Kangaroo whether it is Haram or Halal? Since this animal is found in abundance in Australia, people here want to know whether it is Haram or Halal? Please reply early. Jazakumullah.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

Although nature-wise kangaroo is a tender animal, yet, in addition to being wild it is an animal which hunts and eats with paws. Based on this it should have been considered to be Haram. However may contact other religious scholars as well or local Scholars there.
