What is the method of celebrating the night of the Mi'raj?

Assalamu Alaikum
What is the method of celebrating Shab e Mi'raj? Whether the way it is celebrated in Pakistan is correct?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

There is no authentic narration that makes mention of the Holy Prophet or his noble companions celebrating the night of Mi'aj, nor of his companions or their followers engaging in any special worship on this night. Therefore, it is not correct, rather, an innovation to deem any particular form of worship specific to this night, considering it to be a means of reward. Furthermore, in our country of Pakistan, the traditions which are adhered to on this occasion are mostly inherited from Jewish and Hindu culture. Hence, instead of engaging in such traditions, one should turn towards Allah, by whom is our salvation and success.

فی المشکٰوة: عن غضیف بن الحارث الشمالی قال قال رسول اللہﷺ ما أحدث قوم بدعة الا رفع مثلها من السنة فتمسك بسنة خیر من احداث بدعة. (رواه أحمد ص: ۳۱)
