During her waiting period, it is not permissible for this woman

Can a woman who is 66 years go out to see a boy for the purpose of her daughter’s marriage while she is in her waiting period?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

During her waiting period, it is not permissible for this woman to leave her home to see a boy for her daughter’s marriage. This should be avoided.
And Allah knows best.

مأخَذُ الفَتوی

کما فی بدائع الصنائع: وأما المتوفی عنہا زوجہا فیباح لہا الخروج نہارا (الی قولہ) وأما المتوفی عنہا زوجہا فلا تخرج لیلا ولا بأس بأن تخرج نہارا فی حوائجہا: لأنہا تحتاج إلی الخروج بالنہار لاکتساب ما تنفقہ: لأنہ لا نفقۃ لہا من الزوج المتوفی بل نفقتہا علیہا فتحتاج إلی الخروج لتحصیل النفقۃ، ولا تخرج باللیل لعدم الحاجۃ إلی الخروج باللیل۔ اھـ (ج۳، ص۲۰۴) واللہ اعلم بالصواب
