Allah is Independent. So why offerings are made in His name?

1: It is said that Allah is Independent. So why offerings are made in His name?
2: Is it correct to do offerings in the name of respected Sahabas

The meaning of independence is that, He is not in need of our Ibadah but we, that is the created beings who perform His Ibadah and offering vows and sacrifices in His name and reach His pleasure and nearness to Him. Then, the more one creates sincerity in Ibadah, the closer he reaches to His nearness and he would be rewarded for his Ibadah. Whereas if vows and sacrifices are offered in the name of any created being with the intention of achieving his nearness this act would be tantamount to attributing partners (shirk) to the Independent Supreme Being due to which not only the action becomes null and void but also becomes liable to punishment due to the fact that it is in contradiction to the laid down rules of worship. This is the reason why sacrifices and vows in the name of other than Allah is prohibited and to asked to make such acts confined only in the name of Allah Tabaraka wa Tha’ala. In order to show indigence and obedience in the presence of such an Independent Supreme Being, sacrifices and vows are made in His name and since these are kinds of worship it is not at all permitted to be done in the name any created being even in the name of such elevated personalities as Sahaba e Kiram Ridhwanullahi Ta’ala Alaihim Ajma’een.
