Mufti Sahib, If the owner or organizer of a firm, organization, multinational company, advertising agency, or NGO arranges gatherings involving alcohol and unlawful entertainment to obtain contracts or work, or if they run the institution through bribery — or during its operation, they engage in bribery, interest-based dealings, or other unlawful and un-Islamic practices to keep the business running — while within the organization the work is done with honesty and the employees work diligently, then Is the income earned by the owner or the employees in such a company considered halal (permissible) or haram (forbidden)?
Arranging gatherings involving alcohol, unlawful food, music, and dance — or engaging in bribery, interest-based transactions, or other prohibited acts — for the purpose of obtaining contracts or orders for a firm, organization, multinational company, or advertising agency, is undoubtedly unlawful and prohibited in Shari‘ah, and must be strictly avoided. However, if the actual operations and activities within the company are conducted in accordance with Shari‘ah principles, then the profit earned from such work is considered permissible (halal), and it may also be used for charitable and welfare purposes.
