Assalamu Alaikum! I wish to state that my father and mother have passed away, and we are five sisters and two brothers. I am the elder among the brothers and second in order among the siblings. I arranged the marriages of all my siblings. In the inheritance, there is a house in which we two brothers reside. What will be the Shari‘ah distribution so as to attain the pleasure of Allah?
The estate of the deceased parents will be distributed among their mentioned heirs according to the principles of Islamic inheritance as follows: Whatever movable and immovable property, gold, silver, jewelry, cash, and all kinds of household items the deceased owned at the time of death, first the average funeral expenses will be paid from it. After that, if there are any debts owed by the deceased, they will be repaid. Then, if the deceased had made any valid will (Wasiyat), it will be executed from up to one-third (1/3) of the remaining estate. After these deductions, whatever remains will be divided into a total of 9 equal shares, of which each son will receive 2 shares and each daughter will receive 1 share.
