Making an Oath to give a Percentage of One's Earnings in the Path of Allah

I have started a new business. I made an oath that I will give 10% of my earnings in the path of Allah. Can I donate this money towards building Masjids?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

Since in the aforementioned case, the oath made by the questioner is not binding upon him, he is free to donate his earning towards the Masjid or any other cause.
