What do the respected scholars and esteemed Muftis say regarding the following issue: I have been running an internet café business for the past year. I have blocked access to immoral websites, and I do not encourage such behavior in any way. I have also displayed a written notice clearly stating that such activities are not allowed. Given these measures, is this business considered halal (permissible) or not? Also, would it be better to use the computers in the café for purposes such as graphic designing and educational reading instead?
In the mentioned case, it is permissible and valid for the questioner to run an internet café and allow the use of computers under the stated conditions. However, it is advisable that the conditions also clearly include a prohibition on accessing un-Islamic content and websites. Additionally, It would be better to appoint a supervisor to ensure the enforcement of these rules and conditions.
