Ruling on Inviting Students to Recite for Blessings at Home and Honoring Them

What do the respected Islamic scholars and esteemed Muftis say regarding the following matter: A person often invites children to his home for Qur'an recitation (Qur'an khwani) and also offers them hospitality. However, he does not consider Qur'an recitation and hospitality as necessarily linked. The Qur'an recitation is arranged occasionally, while hospitality is extended more frequently. The question that arises is: Is it permissible to arrange such Qur'an recitation sessions and offer hospitality in this manner or not? Kindly provide an answer in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

In the situation mentioned in the question, if students are genuinely invited home solely for the purpose of seeking blessings (khair and barakah), and they are requested to recite portions of the Qur’an for the sake of the household's spiritual benefit, followed by some form of hospitality extended to them, then this does not constitute a compensation for Qur'an recitation. Therefore, this practice is permissible and valid for both parties.
