Respected Muftis, Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Guidance is sought regarding a Shariʿah issue.
I work in a medicine warehouse where cartons of various medicines are stored (such as 25% Dextrose, Pan-Amin G, Aminovale, and other medicines). We often tear open the empty cartons and spread them on the ground to perform Salah, while some people perform Salah on their prayer mats or on prayer rugs placed on the upper floor.
The question is: Is it according to Shariʿah correct and permissible to perform Salah by spreading and praying on empty medicine cartons?
May Allah reward you all with goodness.
Was-Salam.
If the empty cartons of medicines are pure and no visible impurity is present on them, then performing Salah on them is Islamically valid and permissible.
