It is permissible and correct to perform 5 or 10 day Tharaweeh Salath. This practice is not established from Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Ala Alihi Wa Sallam himself but completing Qur'an e Kareem in 5 or 10 days is established through various Sahaba e Kiram Radhiyallahu Anhum. Hence it is incorrect to call it Bid'ath (Innovation). Further, even after the completion of the Qur'an e Kareem within 5 or 10 days, it is Sunnath to perform 20 Raka'aath of Tharaweeh Salath daily. Only the Sunnath of completing the Qur'an e Kareem is executed, therefore, it is essential to be vigilant in performing 20 Raka'aath of Tharaweeh Salath daily in the remaining days of Ramadhan as well after the completion of Qur'an e Kareem whereas none of the situation is void from Sawab (rewards).

وفي الفتاوى الهندية: ويكره الإسراع في القراءة وفي أداء الأركان، كذا في السراجية وكلما رتل فهو حسن، كذا في فتاوى قاضي خان والأفضل في زماننا أن يقرأ بما لا يؤدي إلى تنفير القوم عن الجماعة لكسلهم؛ لأن تكثير الجمع أفضل من تطويل القراءة، كذا في محيط السرخسي. والمتأخرون كانوا يفتون في زماننا بثلاث آيات قصار أو آية طويلة (إلی قوله) لو حصل الختم ليلة التاسع عشر أو الحادي والعشرين لا تترك التراويح في بقية الشهر؛ لأنها سنة، كذا في الجوهرة النيرة الأصح أنه يكره له الترك، كذا في السراج الوهاج.اھ (1/ 118)
