Is It Permissible for a Husband to Have Intercourse with Two Wives at the Same Time?

Is it permissible for a husband to engage in marital relations (physical intimacy) with his two wives at the same time and in the same place?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It should be clearly understood that if a man has more than one wife, then engaging in sexual intercourse with one or two wives while another wife is present on the same bed is an act of extreme indecency and is contrary to the Shariah. Therefore, it is not permissible for a husband to have marital relations with one wife in the presence of another wife. Moreover, in such a situation, it necessarily entails one co-wife seeing the satr (private parts) of the other co-wife, which is also impermissible according to Islamic law. For this reason as well, it is obligatory upon the husband to completely refrain from engaging in such intercourse.

کمافی مشكاة المصابيح: وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم:«‌لَا ‌يَنْظُرُ ‌الرَّجُلُ إِلَى عَوْرَةِ الرَّجُلِ وَلَا الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى عَوْرَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ وَلَا يُفْضِي الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلَا تُفْضِي الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ فِي ثوب وَاحِد» رَوَاهُ مُسلم(باب النظر،ص:268،ط:قدیمی کتب خانہ)
وفی رد المختار: ويكره للرجل أن يطأ امرأته وعندها صبي يعقل أو أعمى أو ضرتها أو أمتها أو أمته(باب القسم،ج:3،ص:208،ط:سعید)
وفی البحر الرائق: قال - رحمه الله تعالى - (والمرأة ‌للمرأة والرجل للرجل) وهذا هو القسم الرابع من التقسيمات ومعناه المرأة ‌للمرأة والرجل للرجل يعني: نظر المرأة إلى المرأة كنظر الرجل إلى الرجل حتى يجوز ‌للمرأة أن تنظر منها إلى ما يجوز للرجل أن ينظر إليه من الرجل إذا أمنت الشهوة والفتن؛ لأن ما ليس بعورة لا يختلف فيه الرجال والنساء(کتاب الکراھیۃ،ج:8،ص:193،ط:رشیدیۃ)
