Ruling on saying Salām in the second Rakʿah of Maghrib prayer

Assalāmu ʿAlaikum.
In the second Rakʿah of the Maghrib prayer, the Imām turned to one side and directly said Salām. Due to reminders (Luqmah) from the followers, he then performed two prostrations, sat for Tashahhud, and—again due to the followers’ reminders—offered the third Rakʿah, then performed Sajdat al-Sahw and concluded the prayer with Salām. Has the prayer been validly completed?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

In the present case, after turning to one side and saying Salām, if the Imām did not perform any act that invalidates the prayer, such as talking or turning his chest away from the Qiblah, and upon realizing the mistake, he performed the prostrations, then after reciting the Tashahhud immediately stood up for the third Rakʿah, completed the third Rakʿah, and at the end performed Sajdat al-Sahw, then in such a case the prayer will be valid, and there is no need to repeat the prayer.

مأخَذُ الفَتوی

کما فی البدائع : ولو سلم مصلي الظهر على رأس الركعتين على ظن أنه قد أتمها ثم علم أنه صلى ركعتين وهو على مكانه يتمها ويسجد للسهو
أما الإتمام فلأنه سلام سهو فلا يخرجه عن الصلاة وأما وجوب السجدة فلتأخير الفرض وهو القيام إلى الشفع الثاني (فصل في سبب الوجوب ،ج:١٦٤،ص:١،مط: سعيد)
وفي الدر المحتار: ( ويسجد للسهو ولو مع سلامه ) ناويا ( للقطع ) لأن نية تغيير المشروع لغو ( ما لم يتحول عن القبلة أو يتكلم ) لبطلان التحريمة(باب سجود السهو، ج: ٢،ص: ٩١، مط: سيعد)
وفي حاشية الطحطاوي : حاصل المسألة أنه إذا سلم ساهيا على الركعتين مثلا وهو في مكانه ولم يصرف وجهه عن القبلة ولم يأت بمناف عاد إلى الصلاة من غير تحريمة وبنى على ما مضى وأتم ما عليه ولو اقتدى به إنسان في هذه الحالة صح (باب سجود السهو،ج:٢، ص:٧٥،مط: مکتبۃ العلم التحقیق)
