If a person takes interest from a bank and spends it on something useful, such as buying books, giving it to a madrasa, or does some other pretext to give it to a madrasa as a general charity, is this correct? It is to be noted that this does not include zakat.
Taking interest-bearing loans or spending money received as interest from any person or institution, even with the intention of spending it on useful and virtuous deeds, is unlawful according to S law, and must be avoided.
