the correct and most virtuous way to spend Sadaqah

I have some savings (money), and I want to spend this savings as a form of charity (Sawaab) in such a way that it brings the greatest reward (Ajr) for me and for my late father. Kindly advise me where I should spend this money in the path of Allah, so that Allah is pleased with me, and both I and my father receive the reward for it.
Note: These savings are from our surplus funds, and some of it has come from the sale of my father's property. It is not money from a bank or any interest-based source.

The personal savings of the questioner are entirely under her control; she is free to use them in whatever manner she wishes. However, it is better to spend this money on ongoing continuous charity (such as, construction of a mosque or religious school, purchasing books for students, digging wells in places of need, etc.).

As for the amount obtained after selling the property that was part of her deceased father's inheritance, all heirs have a rightful share in it. It is not permissible, according to Islamic law, for one heir to give this amount in charity without the consent of the other heirs. This must be strictly avoided. However, if the heirs are of sound mind and adults, and they willingly choose to spend this money on any of the aforementioned charitable causes with the intention of conveying the reward to their deceased father, then this is permissible according to Islamic law."

And Allah knows best
