The ruling on signing a Khula document containing three divorces

Assalamu Alaikum
Mufti Sahib, due to domestic disputes, my former husband voluntarily signed the Khula documents. He also said, “I do not want to live with you.” Now he says that no divorce has taken place and wants to find a way for reconciliation. He signed the Khula documents of his own free will, but he did not verbally utter any words of divorce. Has the divorce taken place, or does a possibility of reconciliation still remain?
Note: Seven to eight months have passed since the Khula took place. Furthermore, the attached document contains three divorces.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

In the case in question, if the husband of the questioner signed the attached Khula document containing the divorces, then, even though he did not verbally utter the words of divorce, three divorces have nevertheless taken effect upon the questioner, resulting in irrevocable prohibition (Hurmat-e-Mughallazah). Therefore, neither revocation (Ruju‘) is possible nor can they remarry each other without a valid Shar‘i Halalah. Furthermore, if, during this period, the questioner has experienced three menstrual cycles and her waiting period (Iddah) has consequently expired, she is now free to marry elsewhere.

مأخَذُ الفَتوی

ففى تفسير القرطبي: قوله تعالیٰ﴿فإن طلقہا فلا تحل له من بعد حتی تنکح زوجًا غیرہ﴾ (ج:3، ص:147)۔
وفي الدر المختار:کتب الطلاق ان مستبینا علی نحو لوح وقع إن نوی وقیل مطلقًا ۔اھ تحت (قوله کتب الطلاق الخ) (إلى قوله) وإن کانت مرسومة یقع الطلاق نوی اولم ینو۔ الخ ( مطلب في الطلاق بالكتابة ج:3، ص:246، مط:دار الفكر - بيروت)۔
