How is it to name ‘Fabiha’?

How is it to name ‘Fabiha’?

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah, I wish to name my daughter “Fabiha (فَبِیہا)”. Kindly explain the meaning, origin, and Islamic status of this name.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

In the situation mentioned, naming a child “Fabiha” is not appropriate, because it is a meaningless word. Despite extensive research, no meaning for this name could be found in any reliable lexical source. Therefore, the questioner should choose a name for the child from the names of the female Companions (رضی اللہ عنہن) or from names that are well-established and commonly used in the Muslim community.

کما فی ابی داود: عن أبي الدرداء، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "‌إنكم ‌تدعون ‌يوم ‌القيامة ‌باسمائكم وأسماء آبائكم، فاحسنوا أسماءكم". (باب في تغيير الأسماء، ج: 4، ص: 444، ط: دار الكتب العربي)
وفي فتح الباري: أخرجه مسلم من حديث المغيرة بن شعبة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إنهم ‌كانوا ‌يسمون ‌بأسماء أنبيائهم والصالحين قبلهم (ج: 10، ص: 476، ط: دار التراث العربي)
