Mufthi Sahib,

If a girl from a family who think that observing hijab is bad; and specially, consider covering of face as a totally defective act; and the parents of the girl as well, are not pleased with her face covering; and many obstacles do come in her marriage proposals due to this; in such circumstances is its allowed for her to stop covering her face?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE MOST BENEFICENT AND THE MOST MERCIFUL
Observing hijab is a Shar’i commandment and considering it to be bad is an act of extreme ignorance and not befitting for any Muslim. To consider a Shar’i commandment as improper, may cause to Kufr as well. It is necessary for the questioner to explain them and forbid them from this sin whereas the concerned girl, whilst remaining indoor, should stop face-covering among her Mehrems so as to avoid unnecessary disputes and hatred towards a Shar’i ruling in the family .
