My company gives cash performance awards every month on daily basis ratings to three top employees in a ceremony held every month. I have objection as I believe that comparing employees regularly on daily/monthly basis is not good. It gives dissatisfaction and embarrassment to employees who don't get a good rating, which is contrary to the teachings of Islam. However good performing employees get good increments on an annual appraisal basis which is enough to recognize them.
What do you suggest in this regard?
It should be clear that praising and encouraging the good performance of one's employees and subordinates is not an inappropriate behavior that the questioner may object to, but rather it is a sign of goodwill towards the employees and a cause of progress in work for the company owners. Therefore, the questioner and all other employees whose performance does not reach the desired standards of the company should focus on improving their performance instead of objecting to this behavior of the company.
