Repaying excess as a gift by the borrower to lender

If I lend someone money and while repaying the borrower gives me some money as a reward, will it be Halal or Haram? There is no condition on the borrower to give it, he is giving it of his own free will.

It should be clear that if the issue of excess was not agreed upon at the time of granting the loan, nor was such a matter known and prevalent, then if the borrower gives something extra on his part at the time of repaying the loan, this does not fall within the definition of interest, but rather it falls within the definition of good payment, and this was also the blessed practice of our beloved Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Therefore, in the mentioned case, if the borrower does not mention the repayment with excess when taking the loan from the lender, nor is this matter conditional between them, but rather he willingly pays a little more at the time of repayment, then the excess amount will be permissible for the lender and not forbidden.
