What do the honorable Muftis say regarding this matter: A student travels from Peshawar to Karachi for the purpose of seeking knowledge, while his younger siblings and mother are left alone at home. The reality is that he also has the opportunity to acquire education in Peshawar itself, but he chooses Karachi merely for the sake of concentration and focus. In the light of Shariah, will he be held accountable for this? Please provide guidance.
If the questioner’s mother and younger siblings are in need of his service, and there is no other mahram available to take care of them, then in such a case the questioner should remain in his hometown, i.e., Peshawar, and pursue his education there with his mother’s permission. He must avoid separating from them merely on the pretext of seeking concentration.
Is it necessary for a Son to obey his parents in each and every situation?
