availing medical facilities and pension by a retired employee

Assalamu Alaikum!
Respected, I am a retired employee of an organization PARCO (Pak Arab Refinery). The organization pays me some amount of money monthly as pension. It also provides free medical facilities to me and my sister. I want to know whether it is not illegal for us to get this pension and medical facilities (without doing any work)? I will wait for your reply.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It should be clear that the amount of money given every month as a pension by the relevant institution upon retirement in recognition of a person's services is a contribution and benevolence from the institution, and not a salary for the job. Therefore, there is no religious objection to the questioner and his sister benefiting from the aforementioned pension and other facilities provided by the institution.

کمافی الفتاوى الهندية: أما تفسيرها شرعا فهي تمليك عين بلا عوض، كذا في الكنز.اھ(ج4 ص374 کتاب الھبۃ ط: ماجدیۃ)۔
وفی الدر المختار: (هي) لغة: التفضل على الغير ولو غير مال. وشرعا: (تمليك العين مجانا) أي بلا عوض لا أن عدم العوض شرط فيه
وأما تمليك الدين من غير من عليه الدين فإن أمره بقبضه صحت لرجوعها إلى هبة العين
(وسببها إرادة الخير للواهب) دنيوي كعوض ومحبة وحسن ثناء، وأخروي: قال الإمام أبو منصور يجب على المؤمن أن يعلم ولده الجود والإحسان كما يجب عليه أن يعلمه التوحيد والإيمان؛ إذ حب الدنيا رأس كل خطيئة نهاية مندوبة وقبولها سنة قال - صلى الله عليه وسلم - «تهادوا تحابوا» اھ(ج5 ص687 کتاب الھبۃ ط: سعید)۔
