Ruling on Investment in Digital Currency

Is digital currency halal, and can we invest in it?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It should be clear that (crypto) currency or digital currency has no tangible existence, but is considered a currency only to the extent of its presence in the device and its security, while domestic law does not allow its use for exchange and buying and selling. In addition, fraud in the name of investment is common in digital currency and crypto currency, so it is necessary to avoid investing in the aforementioned currencies.
