Ruling on medical insurance provided by company
E.F.U Company has taken out medical insurance for all of the employees in my office. The company is paying all of the installments for the insurance policy. With this policy, if I will ever become sick and be admitted to the hospital, the company will pay off my medical bills. Is it permissible for me to accept this insurance policy?
الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً
If the company themselves apply for this policy without the consult of the employees, then it will be permissible for the employees to get medical treatment by means of this policy, even though it was wrong for the company to apply for this policy in the first place.

کما فی الفقہ الاسلامی وادلتہ: التأمین بقسط ثابت فتویٰ ابن عابدین: أفتی ابن عابدین بحرمۃ التأمین البحری، لضمان ما قد یھلک من البضائع المستوردۃ بطریق النقل البحری بالمراکب، فلا یحل للتاجر أخذ بدل الھالک من مال المؤمن لأسباب ثلاثۃ الخ۔ (ج:٤ ص:٤٤٣) واللہ اعلم
