Ruling on Naming a Child “Zoha Fatima” and “Ayat Noor”

Assalamu Alaikum,
I want to name my daughter Zoha Fatima or Ayat Noor. Please tell me the meanings of these names and whether they are suitable names for a daughter. Thank you.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

If a girl is named simply “Fatimah,” it is undoubtedly a correct and blessed name. Adding the word “Noor” or “Zoha” to it—such as naming her “Noor Fatimah”—is also permissible in itself. However, if the intention behind this combination is to imitate or resemble the Shia (Rawafidh) practice, then it must be avoided.
The word “Zoha” means forenoon or rising sun, while “Ayat” means sign or symbol. Therefore, naming a girl “Zoha” or “Ayat” is also permissible in meaning.
Nevertheless, it is preferable to name a girl after one of the female Companions (Sahabiyyat) or any pious woman.

کما فی مرقاة المفاتيح : "وعن أبي الدرداء - رضي الله عنه - قال: «قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " تدعون يوم القيامة بأسمائكم وأسماء آبائكم، فأحسنوا أسماءكم» " رواه أحمد، وأبو داود." (کتاب الاداب باب الاسامی ج: 8، ص: 526، ط: حقانیۃ)۔
و فی القاموس الوحید: الضحی: سورج کی روشنی، دن کا چڑھاؤ، دن چڑھنے کا وقت، چاشت، سورج الخ ( ص: 962، ط: ادارۃ اسلامیات )۔
و فیہ ایضاً: الآیۃ: علامت، نشان، خاص نشان ( ص: 144، ط: ادارۃ اسلامیات )۔
