How is it to name ‘Eshmal’?

How is it to name a baby girl ‘Eshmal’?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It should be understood that despite extensive searching, the word Eshmal could not be found in any reliable Arabic or Urdu dictionary. Therefore, adding the letter “ya” and using the name Eshmal for a baby girl does not seem appropriate. However, if the name is Ashmal without the letter “ya,” then it is derived from shaml, which means “to be general, to include everyone.” Considering this meaning, keeping this name is permissible. However, it is better and more commendable to name a baby girl after the female Companions (May Allah be pleased with them) or other pious women of the Ummah.
