Does merely having a divorce document prepared constitute a valid divorce?

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah! I seek guidance regarding the issue of divorce. In a state of extreme anger and under family pressure, I had some documents prepared by a lawyer and signed them without reading them. I never verbally pronounced divorce, nor did I have any intention in my heart to divorce my wife. When I handed the papers to my wife, I only said, “Keep these documents,” and did not mention divorce at all. The witnesses (my brother and a staff member) also did not read the written document.
Important points: There was no verbal divorce, no real intention, and I only signed the papers in anger. We have three children, we are currently living separately, and now we want reconciliation.
Questions: Does signing such documents without any verbal pronouncement or genuine intention count as a divorce? If it is not considered a valid divorce, can we continue living as husband and wife, or is renewal of the nikah required? Kindly guide us according to the Qur’an and Sunnah. May Allah reward you with goodness.

In the present case, the petitioner had a divorce document prepared through a lawyer and signed it, and this document contained three explicit divorces with clear words such as “I divorce you.” In such a situation, even if the petitioner did not have the intention of actually divorcing, by having this document prepared and signed, all three divorces have legally taken effect on his wife, as a result of which irrevocable and severe prohibition (hurmat-e-mughallazah) has been established between them. Consequently, ruju (revocation) is not possible, nor can they remarry each other without a valid Halalah Shariyyah. However, after completing her ʿiddah, the woman is free to marry someone else.
