Assalamu Alaikum!
I buy petrol coupons from the Daraz app, on which I get a 10% discount from the bank. I do not use the petrol myself; I give the coupon to my brother and take money from him, through which I save 500 rupees. So is it permissible to do this or not? Because I do not use the petrol myself, my brother is a cashier at the pump, with whose help I cash the coupon. So is taking this cash permissible or not? The value of the coupon is 5000 rupees. I buy it through one card; it costs me 4500 rupees, and I save 500 rupees on it. It should be noted that Whatever the condition of the coupon, petrol can also be filled from it at the petrol pump, the method of which is that the pump staff saves the code of the coupon and later receives payment from the "Daraz app" as per the agreed procedure.
If the questioner purchases a petrol coupon worth five thousand rupees from the Daraz app through a bank at a ten percent discount (for 4,500 rupees), and instead of using it to get petrol, sells the coupon itself for five thousand rupees, then this is not permissible according to Shari‘ah and must be avoided. However, if the person uses the coupon to actually receive the petrol and then sells that petrol to someone else for a profit, it would be permissible in Shari‘ah.
